Guess this is sort of the Indian version of the bailout for the economy.
Indian financial system today got a liquidity shot of Rs 65,000
crore to combat the ripple effects of the global crisis - on top of Rs
80,000 crore infused since last week - with Finance Minister P
Chidambaram and RBI promising more steps, if needed.
Reserve Bank announced a 100 basis points cut in cash reserve ratio,
the mandatory cash deposits banks are needed to keep with the central
bank, and also announced immediate release of Rs 25,000 crore as first
tranche under the farm debt waiver scheme. To read more

New attempt
Chanakya Writes is new blog started by Gayatri, Divya and me. Now the question begets, “Why do we need another blog”. To be frank, we might have as well worked on our current blogs or simply revived them. But the total lackadaisical attitude towards blogging and failure to make a significant impact hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm towards starting a new blog. The success of this attempt can only be seen as time passes. Personally, I give it a 0.05% chance of surviving beyond the first few posts(if any). But what the heck, blogging sites are still free and even if it fails, we don’t have anything to lose and we still haven’t reached the stage in life where our time is so invaluable that we have to keep count of it. Now what do we propose to write in this blog is definitely a matter of speculation ( not for the non- existent readers, but for us authors). The initial plan is to give our worldly views and take on different topics of interest and news. Its kind of our 2 paise worth of comments and viewpoints on various happenings. We do plan to touch multiple domains, not out of any misplaced compassion towards readers by way of providing succint advices, but just a lame excuse to potray ourselves as self appointed experts on all topics under the sun( wow! we think such highly of ourselves). If you wondering after all this, what is the purpose of this blog and if I’m actually recommending you to read this blog regularly or not; I would leave that to your own discretion. I can assure you one thing for sure; even if you dont find anything worthwhile from a informative standpoint, you would atleast be amused by our attempts to be knowledgeable

Act and not Stop
Image via Wikipedia
I sit and think what have I achieved in life. I ponder over the purpose of my existence, contemplate over how to succeed in life. After going through the motions of emotions starting from self-doubt to depression and then rising to a sense of pretentious well being, I realize the futility of the whole exercise. Depending on our personalities, attitudes and upbringing we have various stopping points where we conclude this charade of self contemplation. What good comes out of it, no one can say for sure. It may serve to inspire some, reassure a few others and simply disappoint or break a significant rest.
The greatest achievers in the world: Mind you there are only a handful of them, the rest are mere impostors. They never cease doing their work. Action is the only respite, the only elixir, the purpose in life. Trust in the powers to be , that they have chosen a path for you and its for you to tread the path and complete the purpose. You can question if the path is correct, but there is no excuse to stop acting. The act of searching your goal is an act of worthiness in itself. Don’t just stand and stare, Rise and run till you cease to breathe!
Too many people mistake passivity for planning, silence for thought and articulation for wisdom. Beware of such crafts which are tools of people who don’t walk the talk.

Another Day
Another day! Feeling tired and dull. Somehow I feel this is the way I have been feeling since quite some days. There is a definite lack of motivation. Today however I forgot my smart card, so have to depend on colleagues to let me in, each time, I have to visit the restroom or the canteen.
And as if to rub it in, have felt the urge to relieve myself more than the fair share. Every 15 minutes or so, my bladder bloats up. It it is really pissing me off, literally! I think its one of the ubiquitous Murphy’s laws at work. Speaking of which, I guess its become a fad to attribute any wise crack or adage to Murphy as if Mr.Murphy was one know-it-all. If he was, damn I got to appreciate his smirking sarcasm and deadpan humor. Whatever!

Phoonk
Saw Phoonk yesterday! Directed by ‘Ham’ Gopal Verma. Ok, so Verma mixes the Exorcist and Bhoot and dishes out another boring fare. But surprise surprise this one’s a hit. Found that he blogs as well. Now this is one interesting blog for sure. This guy is one hell of a narcissist but also is a sissy. Here’s the fun part - he chooses to react to some of the comments of his readers and gives smartass or rather dumbass answers to them. So he finds the really lame comments and makes them look stupid by his spiteful answers. Every other response asks the commenter to find someone more intelligent to make him understand his blog. I guess his blogs are like his movies, no one cares or understands them.
